Siemens develops a complete suite of applications for the additive manufacturing domain. Siemens is digitally transforming the additive manufacturing world by developing a digital twin in NX Additive applications. the NX Multi-Axis Additive Manufacturing application is one of the key offerings of Siemens.

NX Multi-Axis Additive Manufacturing application is used to develop multi-axis deposition paths for CNC machines and robotic applications. It finds it use in all the metal, polymer, and composite additive manufacturing processes. NX Multi-Axis Additive Manufacturing offers users capabilities such as layering with planes and defining rotation on bodies, freeform shapes, and conical shapes.

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven application engineer to help support our NX Multi-Axis Additive Manufacturing team, working in a lean-agile environment.

Responsibilities
  • Validate and test NX Multi-Axis Additive Manufacturing system.
  • Utilize understanding and experience of NX CAM and Additive Manufacturing applications to contribute to the software.
  • Collaborate with and support the Product Owner and add acceptance tests
  • Build quality into all work/activities
  • Continuously communicate to agree on expectations and support a transparent and safe environment
  • Self-organizing to benefit from the expertise within the team, whilst sharing/spreading that knowledge for the future benefit of the team
  • Own, with the rest of the team, how the work gets done
  • Work in a lean agile environment.
  • Create and test the constituents of the features
  • Collaborate with mid-level customers, engineers, and managers to develop or enhance complex Multi-Axis NX Additive Manufacturing applications.
  • Provides business and technical feedback to software vendors. Uses advanced data exchange methodologies to facilitate effective data sharing between dissimilar systems or applications that span across engineering teams.
  • Works with minimal supervision on sophisticated projects with latitude for independent judgment and discretion. Well-skilled with broad proficiency.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
  • 2 or more years of experience in Multi-Axis Additive or 5 Axis machining.
  • Knowledge and understanding of CAM software and Machining processes.
  • 2 or more years of experience as an application engineer with CAM software.
  • Knowledge of automation testing.
  • Familiar with Windows development environments
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English
  • No travel required
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
  • Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
  • Experience of working in an Agile/Lean development environment
  • Experience in working with NX and related software
