Assistant Management Accountant / Graduate Management Accountant £26,000 - £32,000 depending on experience + study support + suite of benefits + hybrid working Central Manchester
Are you a recent accountancy and finance graduate looking to supercharge your career and join a business that will give you all of the support, encouragement and incentive to become CIMA or ACCA qualified?
You'll be joining one of the fastest growing, agile PE backed businesses in the north. A vibrant, modern and ambitious group operating within the leisure and hospitality space.
It's a relaxed but professional setting and you'll have exposure to the senior leadership team (including MD, investors, CFO, head of finance and wider operational management team) from the outset.
Your role reports to the Head of Finance, an approachable, down to earth and highly supportive mentor. You'll be given structured and clear development goals that will allow you valuable practical accounting experience in parallel to your ongoing studies (which will be fully funded)
It's just an awesome role for someone early stages CIMA seeking an enjoyable and modern business that can offer massive career headroom.
The initial role is management accounting - broad and hands on giving you a firm platform. Over the next 1 - 2 years you will be given additional responsibility, effectively becoming finance manager for a smaller subsidiary of the group. Incredible exposure that will allow you to fast track your career more swiftly than your peers.
It's a setting that people enjoy working in - a vibrant office with colleagues who enjoy heading for a drink together in town on a Friday. You also have sensible work life balance (hybrid working with opportunity to work remotely a couple of days per week).
It's a business delivering exciting turnover and profit growth - secure, aspirational, well-funded and excellently positioned in their market. Basically a business to be proud to be part of.
- To have an accounting and finance degree or AAT and be looking to complete CIMA or ACCA (you need genuine appetite and drive to become fully qualified).
- A professional but down to earth communication style - you'll be discussing financial info with a non finance audience (marketing, sales, regional managers, commercial managers, etc).
- Great Excel skills (pivots / lookups).
- A good understanding of management accounts prep (journals, accruals and prepayments etc.)
- To be based in or around Manchester city centre.
It is an ideal role for someone who has spent the last 1 - 2 years gaining core accounting experience but looking for that next step in a business with an awesome culture.
