Hours: Full time - 28.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri 08:00-18:00

Pay rate: Day £23.44

Are you a qualified Cardiac Physiologist who has worked within Hospital Settings? Do you have experience as a Lab-based Physiologist?

NHS Professionals have exciting opportunities for a Cardiac Physiologist to support our client trust. You will be working individually or as part of a team, helping to deliver high quality, evidence based holistic care to Cardiac patients. You will maintain key relationships with co-workers and other health care professionals across the Trust to ensure an effective service.

Oxford University Hospitals is a world-renowned centre of clinical excellence and one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the UK.The role will be based at John Radcliffe Hospital, which is a ten-minute drive from the city centre.


Assisting in the delivery of treatment for heart disease including rapid access chest pain clinic, percutaneous coronary intervention, and implantable devices.

To initiate and undertake audit within the specialist area and work collaboratively with research departments.

Provide expert knowledge and skills in a range of cardiac investigations, communicating results across a multidisciplinary team.

To act as a clinical role model and resource to staff and demonstrate a commitment to evidence based/best practice care and clinical excellence, in order to optimise quality of care.

Undertake without immediate supervision, a full range of diagnostic cardiac clinical physiology procedures e.g. Ambulatory Monitoring, ECG, Echocardiography, Exercise Tolerance Testing, Cardiac Angiography procedures, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiac Rhythm Management procedures.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

Professional accreditation i.e. BHRS, IBHRE, BSE

Qualified Cardiac Physiologist or Healthcare Scientist with expert clinical knowledge in the field of complex cardiac device follow up and/or echo.

Hospital Experience - Highly Desirable.
