A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced BD professional to join a large global law firm as a Business Development Manager within a growing and energetic firm-wide marketing team of professionals.
The role holder will be responsible for managing and executing a full range of business development and marketing activities for the Tech & Data lawyers based in London and Germany. The Business Development Manager will need to develop a sound working knowledge of the group's services, market position and inbound and outbound cross-selling opportunities, as well as an understanding of the group's priorities, clients and prospects. This will be a hands-on role involving taking ownership of the development of key credentials and leading on client pitch opportunities. Communication will be key to success as you will work with a Senior Business Development Manager to lead engagement and implementation efforts for strategic BD priorities in EME and find effective ways to raise the profile of the Tech & Data group internally and externally. The successful candidate will work largely autonomously in terms of the day-to-day business of Tech & Data marketing and business development, but will also work collaboratively with the Senior Tech & Data Manager, who is based in the U.S., and other practice and industry groups in other regions to ensure that all Tech & Data related marketing and business development is coordinated across the firm's global platform.
The ideal candidate will be a bright graduate or equivalent with previous experience in a marketing or BD position in a legal environment involving extensive interaction with partners. This is a high profile role and the firm is looking for a dynamic, strategic thinker with subject matter expertise focused on Tech & Data, who has the gravitas and expertise to drive growth, influence and motivate partners and successfully assist in building client relationships and brand. The Business Development Manager will also be a confident and effective communicator, with the ability to offer ideas at practice meetings and draft clear and accurate copy.
