This position will provide subject matter expertise and direction on complex projects/initiatives for their assigned area(s) of responsibility for Capital Planning & Reporting. They will prepare, analyze and report on complex financial information and provide management with actionable insights and recommendations to help the company effectively manage its capital position under multiple frameworks, e.g. GAAP, Stat, and Rating Agency capital models, and allocate excess capital to the highest and best use. Duties and Responsibilities
Support the companys efforts to effectively manage its capital position
Work with multiple stakeholders to develop forecasts for capital generation and allocation under multiple views over a wide range of scenarios
Compare actual results vs. expectations, highlighting key drivers of differences
Support the companys efforts to understand the potential impact of and respond to regulatory changes that may affect its capital position
Research, analyze, recommend, lead and implement solutions to complex problems impacting the companys capital position
Support annual Financial Plan & quarterly earnings process
Prepare exhibits and presentations on a variety of topics related to capital planning
Assist in evaluating the impact of departmental and/or enterprise initiatives on the companys capital position
Drive innovation-related initiatives, including workflow automation and evaluating new reporting tools to improve functional effectiveness, capabilities, and efficiencies
Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Evaluates financial information to develop and deliver complex, standard, and ad-hoc financial analysis on the companys capital position
Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
Provides management with a complex and comprehensive financial perspective, including potential mitigation solutions, for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Provides subject matter expertise and support to the Capital Planning team in the preparation and delivery of complex financial information for their assigned area(s) of responsibility
Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.Additional Position Responsibilities

CFA charter holder or progress towards CFA is preferred
Actuarial credentials (ASA or FSA) or progress towards ASA or FSA is a plus Experience
