An Associate Broker in the Large Casualty group is responsible for broking activity on all lines of Casualty coverage within the team. In addition to assisting with placement activity, responsibilities will include coordinating deadlines for internal /external colleagues and clients. This individual will utilize their expertise to help enhance results for the team. The Role

The Associate Broker applies a technical level of knowledge to support with activities relating to broking / placement of client risks within a specific business unit and sector. The Associate Broker will support Sr. Brokers in all Broking related functions such as marketing strategy, market discussion/negotiations, quote analysis & comparison, proposal development & delivery, etc. The role will operate within agreed guidelines, working under the supervision of more experienced team members and referring decisions for support and guidance. Responsibilities to include:
  • Gather information to assess and evaluate client risks in order to support the placement of client risks into the market
  • Research market solutions in order to support the identification and appropriate development of optimum risk solutions for clients
  • With guidance and support of more experienced colleagues, develop client and prospect presentations to secure new, and build on existing, relationships
  • With guidance and support of more experienced colleagues, analyze clients' losses utilizing Core Analytics tools.
  • Ensure that quality and compliance procedures and processes are adhered to, meeting internal and external regulations
  • Execute straightforward new business placement, renewals and simple alterations of existing cover, under supervision of Sr. Broker
  • Record all information accurately on the appropriate systems
  • May oversee the delivery of a process to agreed standards to support the running of the wider team
  • Throughout all processes work closely with other team members
