Curriculum Manager- Secure Education Services Job type: Full time (2 positions) Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Up to £38,993 per annum Hours: 40 Hours (+ 5 hours paid lunch) Location: Based at either HMP Oakwood or HMP Featherstone (plus travel between HMPYOI Brinsford and HMPYOI Swinfern prisons) About Nacro We believe that for people who end up in prison, it should be the start of somewhere better not a road to nowhere. You ve come to the right place to really make a difference by engaging with adult learners and supporting the staff as Curriculum Manager in our secure setting. What do our Curriculum Manager s do? You will be responsible for the associated operational aspects of Nacro s adult Education within West Midlands prison establishments. You will be required to manage the delivery, quality and performance of Nacro s Vocational Courses delivered within Adult Prison Education within the West Midlands. Raising the quality of teaching learning and assessment, developing and sharing best practice across the team including supporting those within the team to embed English, mathematics and employability skills Front line teaching forms an integral part of this role, providing teaching cover as and when necessary to support your team. Additional experience of working with hard to reach students would be advantageous. Who we are looking for? We are looking for an inspiring leader with substantial teaching experience with a track record of high achievement including achieving and maintaining a graded teaching observation of at least a grade 2. Demonstrable industry/subject experience and expertise is a must. You will be providing operational support within the education department and be responsible for quality assurance and liaising with awarding bodies. We require you to have Teaching qualification (minimum level 4), Assessors and IQA desirable. A Minimum Level 2 Maths and English and Minimum level 2 in vocational background subject are essential. If you are a a creative and innovative approach to curriculum design, learner engagement and learner support and have the ability to build effective partnerships and work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, then we want to hear from you Vetting Requirements Due to working with adults in a custodial setting, this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check against the adult workforce and prison clearance
