Position Summary: Responsible for planning activities that define the information needs of Physician Health Partners (PHP) and designs the data to meet those needs with the enterprise architecture and integration with information systems, information technologies, and cloud solutions. The objective is to plan with vision and foresight to provide high-quality data; to identify and define common information requirements; and to design conceptual structures and plans to meet the long-term data requirements of PHP.

Remote work is limited to candidates who live in (or are willing to relocate to) the following states: Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, or Texas

COMMUNICATION

  • Understand the information needs of the enterprise with emphasis on executive information consumption and data that comes from or is provided by external parties to the enterprise
  • Educate upward and outward about the business value of enterprise data architecture and solid data management
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Provider business and data SMEs to profile, analyze, and model data, including creating logical mapping of source data into target data models, based on the existing business process and data/reporting requirements

  • Demonstrated analytic decision-making, problem-solving skills
  • Create conceptual and logical data models, typically aggregate data marts for presentation of data to the analytics or data services layer
  • Leverage cloudbased solutions to enhance toolset
  • Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and resolve complex technical issues. A strong ability to analyze interconnected systems and data structures is required. This position has a high need to develop strong relationship with team and vendors and to remain positive and professional
  • Drive data analysis and modeling efforts (conceptual, logical, and physical models), either as the lead modeler, sole modeler, or as member of a team of data modelers/architects, as appropriate given the specific project situation and team makeup

  • Develop and maintain an integrated, subject-oriented, conceptual enterprise data model that represents essential data produced and consumed across the enterprise

Qualifications (Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities):

  • Degree in Computer Science or related area
  • Prior experience working as a data analyst and modeler in a data warehouse, data lake, or datamart environment, and working with healthcare data; 5+ years experience
  • Dimensional data modeling, HL7, FHIR, HIT, strong SQL query language skills, mapping skills, performing data discovery, analysis and profiling required.
  • Experience creating logical source-to-target mappings which can be used by data integration engineers to develop batch and services based data pipelines to populate an enterprise data warehouse, data lake, or otherwise
  • Experience with MS Azure Synapse, Snowflake, etc. is preferred
  • Experience with PowerBI is preferred
  • Business and technical requirements elicitation, analysis and elaboration is preferred
  • Experience with code-based (C#) ETL/ELT processes is preferred
