Based in Roanoke, VA, our community-based health care organization encompasses a comprehensive network of hospitals, primary and specialty physician practices, and other complementary services.
EAP consultant on site at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital to support staff. Group and individual provision as appropriate. Some travel to other hospitals within the organization is likely. Applicants with psychological first aid, grief support, and critical incident management preferred. License preferred.
Weekends 7am to 4pm

Education: Masters degree in counseling field required.
Experience: EAP experience preferred.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Certified Employee Assistant Professional (CEAP) required, or procurement of such within 1 year of hire. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia preferred. Qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) with the Department of Transportation (DOT) required, or procurement of such within 6 months of employment.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills required. Familiarity with EAP core technologies, or essential components (skills, knowledge and abilities) of the Employee Assistance profession. Competent in Word Suite, especially Power Point expertise required. Critical Incident Stress Debriefing as in the Mitchell Model or comparative technique required.
