Evolve Recruitment are currently seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and experienced HR Officer to join an expanding team. Key Responsibilities

  • To provide proactive and efficient HR support to the business
  • To support the Head of HR UK and HRBP with ER matters i.e., coach and advise line managers on all aspects with the team, particularly effective handling of employee relations (ER) issues such as grievances, disciplinary, absence management, performance management, succession planning, restructure etc
  • Developing and implementing HR strategies, aimed at improving business performance via effective people management
  • Day-to-day HR administration including database and personnel file management, production of monthly/quarterly HR statistical reports, employee lifecycle administration, internal communications and spreadsheet maintenance and developments etc
  • Support with maintaining and revising the company's employee handbook and policies and procedures in accordance with changes to employment legislation and/or business needs
  • Reviewing and delivering the HR onboarding program to new starters
  • Recruitment support including developing Job Descriptions, liaising with agencies, screening and shortlisting of candidates as well as conducting interviews and confirming appointments where necessary. This may also include right to work checks and sponsorship management
  • Implementation, review and maintenance and delivery of Training programmes for different stages of employee life cycle for employees
  • Provide support for the HR systems (Workday,/Zendesk/KnowBe4/Training Zone) for relevant employees
  • Secure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures
  • To manage ad-hoc projects as required by Head of HR and Senior Stakeholders
  • Provide support and attendance on HR issues, i.e. performance management, grievances and disciplinaries
  • To provide analysis on HR management statistics, produce reports and feedback to managers
  • Support with payroll queries and processing to ensure the smooth running of the monthly payroll, salary review cycles, bonuses and any other ad hoc payments
  • Support with performance review cycles and maintenance in addition to performance management as required
  • Work with the HR team and update HR policies in accordance with changes to employment legislation
  • Ensure the accuracy, confidentiality and security of personnel files and employment records in accordance with the Companies policies
  • To provide advice, guidance and support on the implementation of strategic HR initiatives
  • To deliver solution-driven HR.

Experience & Skills

  • Ideally possess a degree in Human Resources Management, or related qualification such as CIPD (full or part qualified) or qualified by experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of generalist HR experience
  • A flexible team player, coupled with effective communication and strong problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills, with a good attention to detail
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a self-managed manner, with exceptional organisational, prioritization, and time management ability in order to produce accurate and complete results, meeting deadlines with limited supervision
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, empathetic and professional
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage projects
  • Demonstrate a flexible working attitude and ready to 'roll your sleeves up'
  • Understand the importance of contributing to and working within a successful team
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Self-motivated, with a flexible attitude to duties and working hours
  • A team player but capable of working effectively on own initiative with minimum support
  • Have excellent knowledge of MS Office particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of/and ability to use Workday (ideally)
  • Ability to travel with a clean current driving licence.
