Responsibilities The Schneider Electric Digital Power Business has exciting opportunities to join the UK&I Sales and Marketing team as a Protection Relay / RTU Key Account Sales Engineer. The candidate should ideally possess some knowledge of the engineering fields used in protection and automation products. Knowledge of Schneider Electric or competitor s product portfolios would be helpful, although full product training will be given. The candidate must have an interest in enhancing and developing their skills to progress in what is a vibrant, active and growing sector. Support and training will be provided to enhance the applicant s skills in these areas as necessary. We are looking for candidates who can understand customers needs and work as a key team member to help define and prescribe a potential solution to those needs. Your mission: You will be a key member of the Sales and Marketing team, this is a customer facing role requiring sufficient product and application knowledge to help the client understand the best SE products, architecture and configuration needed to match their requirements. The primary aim is to close opportunities by working as part of a team and further develop strong and lasting relationships with the user to ensure continued pull through. Your responsibilities: Assist SE V2 account managers during customer meetings with a sufficient level of technical and application expertise for the selected projects and accounts. Provide customers with access to application support and technical advice during pre-sales and after sales discussions by involving the relevant support teams, while owning the problem and involving Sales Management when necessary. Use provided professional presentations or products to demonstrate to customers and channel partners a broad product knowledge coverage to clients and to promote the expertise of Schneider. Communicate market feedback about trends, competitors and requirements to the Sales and Marketing teams, to make appropriate changes in product design. Identify business development opportunities discovered during day to day selling activity for analysis by the V2 account holder. leverage technical knowledge and expertise available from the wider team to grow your knowledge. Support and assist Automation Badge channel partners at all project stages. Your background: Bachelor s Degree (Preferable), HNC or equivalent as a minimum Customer facing direct sales contact with end users and channel partners in a similar role would be an advantage Self-motivated and driven. Organised and able to work to deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills. Build strong and lasting relationships.
