CMA are delighted to be working with an outstanding not for profit organisation, based in Whiteley. Having recently relocated their headquarters to the UK, they are in the process of building a sizeable team who will be located at their new and very modern offices in Whiteley. This really is a very exciting time to join the organisation as they build the foundation of their new finance team. They are currently seeking to appoint an office based Management Accounts Assistant who will work closely with the Management Accountant to assist in the accurate production and delivery of accounting information. This is a progressive opportunity that provides huge potential to develop within your accounting career and will as such provide study support. What will the role involve? Responsible for the reconciliation and analysis of specific general ledger codes and weekly and ad-hoc reconciliation of ledgers and GL accounts as required, correcting, or highlighting/escalating any issues to ensure P&L account integrity; Responsible for the processing of all transactions, including payment runs, efficiently, accurately and in the appropriate manner and pursuing any queries through to resolution; Prepare all P&L s, Corporate and all other management information for initial review with the Management Accounts Manager (MAM); Responsible for providing weekly, monthly and any ad-hoc reporting on key balance sheet and P&L areas as required and within agreed timescales; Responsible for assisting the MA by providing timely and accurate information; Assisting in the production and analysis of the weekly and monthly reporting packs; Providing information as requested to support the production of statutory accounts; Supporting with budgets and forecasts development/information; Regular communication with other stakeholders to maintain customer focus and business understanding, including site visits; Continually develop self in line with agreed objectives; Assist Accounting Services Team and the wider business as and when as and when required. Suitable Candidate: You will either be in the latter stages of your AAT or embarking upon the ACCA or CIMA qualifications; Excellent accounting experience with a solid knowledge of month end processes; Outstanding communication skills are essential both written and verbal; The ability to work off your own initiative and a strong team ethos is essential; A successful candidate should meet all of the criteria above .
