Overview

The Account Executive will provide a high level of customer service to clients. The position requires a significant degree of independent judgment and discretion in order to meet those service levels. The Account Executive has superior product knowledge and is familiar with the specific products offered by the Agency's carriers. The Account Executive is responsible for assisting clients with service needs and making changes to existing accounts. REMOTE or HYBRID opportunities available.

Responsibilities

Please note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of your local office.
  • Responds to client request for policy changes, billing inquiries and verification of coverage. Ensures that these items are given to client in a timely manner.
  • Maintains follow-up and suspense file on outstanding orders, correspondence, claims, renewal expirations and follows up on overdue and suspense items.
  • Checks new and renewal policies and endorsements for accuracy in coverage.
  • Determines reasons for request for cancellations and acts to retain accounts. If unable, secures Lost Policy Release and follows through to policy cancellation.
  • Refers current and prospective clients to other departments for solicitation of those lines of business.
  • Participates in continuing professional development as required by state licensing requirements and Agency guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • Advanced degree from college or technical school; or four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Property and Casualty License preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in personal lines with 1-3 years of experience of independently managing a book at an insurance agency preferred
  • Tech savvy; ability to navigate multiple systems including Agency Management Software (AMS360); Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products
