Radiology opening in , Illinois.
Facility is looking to add a BE/BC Radiologist to perform general Diagnostic Radiology. Would be joining 12 Radiologist who all share call.
There are 2 rads in positions called Imager 1 and Imager 2. They read most of the CT' s and MRI' s, a few US and nuc med. Approx 70 cases combilning CTs MRIs US and Nucs split between the imagers.
They have another slot to work called fluoro. Fluoro typically reads 90 plain films and 10 CTs and 2-5 fluoro exams or something like that.
The Mammo person 30-50 mammos, 30 plain films from clinics, 10-15 US.
The IR person has the IR cases, which can vary, maybe 4-10 cases. They also read 10 US and similar amount of bone densities.
Night person starts at 4PM and goes until 11PM. Mostly reads whatever comes through the ER and walkin clinic stats. 20-30 CT' s maybe an MRI or two, a few Ultrasounds, any stat inpt CT or MRI, 40-50 plain films. Night person usually has the next day off.
Weekends (like Night person) mostly what' s coming through the ER or STAT clinic. No outpt studies (those are read on Monday). Generally maybe 160 reports on Sat. and 80-100 on Sunday.
The Fluoro rad starts at 7AM, Imagers 7: 30-7: 45AM, IR 7: 30AM. Mammo 7: 30AM. Everyone is done 4PM. Those who are caught up often help out whoever needs it.
Imaging call schedule is equalized during the quarter among all the rads. Currently 12.
IR call is distributed between 4 general radiologists currently who like doing some IR and they get paid extra based on how many calls they do and the cases. Financials:
