New Forest Care, founded in 2001, has grown organically and now provides specialist Residential Care, Activity Residential Care (ARC), Education and Therapy for children. Our homes and schools are based across Hampshire and Wiltshire. The ARC project was founded in 2015 and has two registered homes both supporting up to five children respectively. We pride ourselves on our company values putting children first, fairness, dignity, excellence, team work and sustainability. Moreover, our adult team is at the centre of our thinking; training, support and progression is essential to ensure we continue to grow and develop as a team.
The successful candidate will manage one of our ARC homes. The ARC is a specialist project providing short-term placements for children who have experienced trauma and abuse. As a result, they can struggle to build trusting relationships with adults which in many cases has led to multiple placement breakdowns and an increased risk of CSE, criminality and risk-taking behaviour.
The ARC project uses adventurous activities and the outdoors to engage and support the children living with us. The registered home consists of the main house and two local cottages and also takes advantage of holiday accommodation in the New Forest and Wales to support the children to enjoy holidays and adventurous trips away. New Forest Care is working towards its Dyadic Development Psychotherapy (DDP) accreditation and PACE is integral to our care.
As the Registered Manager your leadership team will consist of one Deputy Manager and two Team Leaders. All of whom are experienced and have been in post for over two years. The home is also supported by our activity co-ordinator and has access to New Forest Care's Therapy Team, Registered Nurse Mental Health, Safeguarding Lead and People Team (HR). The home has an extensive budget for development, training, and activities. The Registered Manager will also be supported by an experienced Responsible Individual who has 30 years' experience working with children as a social worker and Registered Manager.
The role will include, but is not limited to:
