OverviewOur client wants to change the face of technology and build a new type of people company for a new world, one that can quickly capitalise on the technology era and unlock the brilliance in all people. By engaging and training women and under-represented groups, they are creating a new generation of tech creators with diverse skills and life experiences. Utilising the capabilities in low-code / no-code platforms will allow them to quickly close the skills gap & boost the capacity in the market to meet the demand enterprises have for digital expertise. They plan to do this whilst providing agile and flexible working patterns meeting the needs of their people and customers. This includes core office hours of 10am-2pm, Monday-Wednesday.The roleOur client is looking for experienced Senior Developers to be part of this really exciting new revolutionary opportunity. You will be in at the start and help them to build and deliver on their vision for a new tech services consultancy. You will be someone to work as part of a multidisciplinary team working with their clients who collaborates naturally, actively supporting other team members and takes responsibility for the team that they are part of on a daily basis. You will be empowered to work with clients and stakeholders and take ownership of products that you build.You will have the chance to work flexibly, in a way that fits in with your personal commitments.
  • Core Hours - everyone works during certain core hours. This is between 10am & 2pm. You will work your other hours on a regular schedule agreed with your manager & team.
  • In office time - they think consistency, connection and clarity will help people to feel a part of our organisation & the culture they create. Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday will be in their office in Gateshead (during core hours). Thursday & Friday you can work from where they wish.
  • Part time - they're also looking to enable people to work part time (3 days) where possible if you are interested in that too.
Their priority is to hire people from the North East of England, to join them and help build one of the core principles of the company around a strong sense of culture and community. Throughout your career with them there will be a continued focus on learning and growth. They will support you to acquire new skills and new experiences with formal training and informal learning, mentoring and coaching.Experience & qualificationsExperience of working in multidisciplinary, agile software teams to deliver digital products. Current experience of hands-on development and collaborating to solve problems together using extreme programming practices such as Test Driven Development (TDD). It would also be really helpful if you have experience with Microsoft technologies (Azure & Power Platform are top of their list) but it's not essential if you're happy to learn new things.Experience of and a passion for mentoring, teaching and growing other engineers would be a massive advantage for this role.You may have a degree or you may have some relevant technical certifications.
