Job Summary:

Reporting into the Director, Brand Marketing the Sr. Manager will play an instrumental role in leading Disney Advertising's one to many communication strategies through storytelling, brand development and communications. Disney Advertising consists of premium networks (ESPN, ABC, ABC News, Hulu, Freeform, FX, Disney Channel, Disney Digital, National Geographic, ABC Local) innovative technology, data and creative capabilities that empowers advertisers to buy once and deliver everywhere, addressing the market's needs for an automated and fully addressable future. This role will focus on delivering effective storytelling and elevating the Disney Advertising Brand and its robust multi-media, multi-platform strategy to both internal and external customers. Given the rapid changes to the media environment, this role will be critical to evolving and growing with the landscape. The role may be based on New York, NY, Santa Monica, CA or Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Disney Advertising Brand positioning and go-to-market strategy for the Disney portfolio across addressable, linear and social by:
    • Managing the development and execution of cross-platform Sales Narratives by translating insights into persuasive stories that elevates Disney Platform's strengths in content, creativity, technology, and innovation.
    • Delivering a differentiated message around Disney's leadership in Streaming TV, Sports, and Specials.
    • Consulting with subject matter experts on product marketing around Disney's unified approach, automation, measurement, addressability, etc.
    • Partnering with Research to create compelling stories for performance marketing, multi-cultural, and audience narratives infused with insights and data.
    • Enabling Sales with proactive material that speaks to Disney's core competencies and answers marketplace objections.
    • Supporting Event Marketing team with materials for internal/external events (Upfronts, Sales Summit, QBR, CES, Ad Week, etc.)
    • Establish the strategy for rebranding Ad Sales Products and data offerings, inclusive of identifying new brand pillars and logo development.
  • Develop consistent and unified brand identity to ensure the Disney Advertising brand is accurately represented internally and in the marketplace.
  • Manage internal/external communication strategy around thought leadership and Disney Platform's positioning, identifying the key points, effective distribution levers and client
  • Drive innovative and strategic thinking by going after the whitespace and challenging the status quo, for progressive solutions and executions.
  • Manage and develop team members in driving strategic marketing initiatives

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

  • 8+ years (10+ years preferred) of experience in related fields (ad sales support, digital marketing, advertising, copywriting, communications)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and successfully juggle multiple assignments at once with tight deadlines
  • Strategic problem-solving abilities and the ability to work with others at all levels (including executives) across the full organization
  • Expertise in sales marketing and brand positioning work
  • Understand cross-platform capabilities with a focus on addressable and linear media
  • Highly collaborative and able to successfully build proactive relationship at all levels
  • Experience in leading and developing team members in a highly matrixed environment
  • Excellent strategic and innovative thinker
  • Strong leadership and proven project management skills
  • Superior Keynote and/or PowerPoint skills
  • Bachelors degree preferred
