As a Cardiology Nurse in our 32-bed progressive-care CCU, you will be responsible for treating a diverse patient population with a variety of heart-related conditions. We are a Level I Tertiary care hospital, providing care with state of the art technology. You will be part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team dedicated to patient & family-centered care. Our Cardiology RNs provide care for patients with structural heart problems, coronary stents, arrhythmia, congestive heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, ST-Elevation MI's and non-ST-Elevation MI's.
We also support the professional development of our nurses, providing opportunities for education through conferences and PCCN certifications. Our nurses also have the opportunity to advance through the Clinical Advancement and Recognition Program (CARP).
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required. The University of Vermont Medical Center is moving toward an all Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) workforce. All external candidates hired into, or current employees promoted to, a RN position will be required to obtain their BSN as outlined in the terms of their offer letter.
