Short Description

Cooper University Healthcare is thriving, and with our projected growth, we are building a robust workforce development strategy and roadmap. The Workforce Development Consultant (WDC) will help to ensure we are proactive in creating and enabling a skilled pipeline of qualified and engaged employees in order to meet the growing needs of our patients, business operations, and potential within our surrounding communities for years to come.

The WDC is an experienced talent development professional who will translate strategy into opportunities, programming, and resources to train, coach, and develop our internal team members and leaders. The WDC will be a steward of internal talent mobility, and will partner with members of the HR team to create a structure and framework that supports employee growth and retention.


Experience Required

Minimum of six years' experience in an internal consulting or program management role with a focus on professional and/or leadership development, professional coaching, and/or career navigation. Experience with grant writing and grant funded programs


Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree related to Organizational Leadership, Organizational or Industrial Psychology, Human Resources Management, Learning and Development, or other related formal education

Experience: 6-10 years

Licensure, Certification, and Registration:

Change Management or similar professional certification preferred.

Skills/Qualifications:

Professional/executive presence and able to adapt communication and presentation content and style for a variety of audiences; superior internal customer service orientation and able to build and sustain cross-functional partnerships required.

Up to date and able to speak to current trends in talent and workforce development required.


Able to design, develop and implement all program deliverables used to educate, communicate, market, summarize and report on workforce development programs, events, and outcomes required.

Proven skills in project and program management; facilitation of project teams; and managing deadlines; evidence of successful implementation and user adoption for enterprise-wide programs and initiatives required.

Strong, advanced level skills using MS Excel; able to manage organization-wide data and complex spreadsheets in order to conduct assessments, manage KPIs, create and manage dashboards, and report on insights, trends, and results required.
